In the early 1800s America was a new country, with new freedoms. Americans, who once were not allowed to settled west of the Appalachian Mountains, began to think in much broader terms. They wanted to expand west, even further than the mountains. President Thomas Jefferson would soon make one of the best real estate deals in history. Americans would eventually discover the Pacific Ocean and settle The West.
There are four parts to this project including a Works Cited page. It will be a major grade (200 points). You must use your time wisely, complete all parts and follow all directions. This project is designed for you to work independently. Mrs. Godwin will gladly assist you, but you MUST read the directions and be able to do the majority of the work on your own. This also means that you are to work independently without the help of classmates. Please feel free to raise your hand if you need help, but please attempt to complete this project as independently as possible. Asking for help because you did not read the assigned/recommended resources is not acceptable. Also, please keep in mind that we may not copy work from the internet. Plagiarism will result in a zero.
